A staggering 1 in 3 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime (CRUK, 2004). It is almost inevitable that the lives of your staff, customers, clients or suppliers will have been touched by this disease either personally or through a loved one.
By supporting our research, we strongly believe our partnership should benefit both of us. There are many ways that your company could get involved and because we are a small charity researching a high profile disease your help could really have a significant impact. A partnership with us could: increase staff motivation and boost morale as well as help with staff retention and recruitment; demonstrate your corporate social responsibility; provide positive PR opportunities and open up new audiences. Furthermore supporting us could actually increase brand loyalty and drive sales!

Case Studies
The Marketing Store has chosen to support the CVI for a year in memory of their late colleague
Chris Bateson. So far they have raised £840 through various staff fundraising events such as a quiz night and an 'X' factor talent contests. They have also taken part in the CVI’s Football World Cup Sweepstake Event.
Bernard Shockley, Facilities Manager at The Marketing Store: "Chris was a good friend and colleague to many of us, and was very highly regarded"
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Thornhill Investment Management Limited have
become the official sponsors of our Newsletter Outlook. Their generous contribution over two years will cover all of our production and design costs and help keep our fundraising costs to a minimum. Everyone at the CVI is most grateful for their generous support. The CVI instructed Thornhill Investment Management Limited to handle the investment management of our funds in April 2004. Over this time, they have very successfully managed our income and reserves that is surplus to immediate requirements. The resulting growth in our investment income currently accounts for nearly 10% of our total income.
Schenker Limited entered a team to take part in the CVI's London to Paris cycle ride in 2007 and raised over £5000.
