Who Dares Wins - UK Challenges - Ongoing
British 10K London Run, 10 July 2011
Come and join the CVI team. Now in its 11th year the route takes you through the heart of the capital past some of London's finest landmarks. Every year the race attracts some of the world's finest athletes, celebrities and tens of thousands of people of every running ability.
Aside from the Great North Run, there are now many other dates in this 10K series throughout the UK – including Junior versions.
Fancy a cycle ride around London by moonlight? While the capital sleeps you could cycle 100km through London to raise funds for the CVI. Starting at Crystal Palace you will follow a fully sign-posted trail past some of London's most famous landmarks before finishing back at Crystal Palace for some well earned breakfast.
London to Paris Bike Ride, 24-27 June 2011
This long-weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris and covers around 300km in just three days. Encounter historic towns, sleepy villages, rolling countryside and challenging hills en-route. Cycle along wide Parisian boulevards to the finishing line at the city’s most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower. There is also free time to recover or celebrate and explore the sights of Paris before boarding the Eurostar train back to London. All we ask is that you raise a minimum of £1000 to cover your costs and a donation to the CVI. If you’d like to join our team for 2010 please get in touch for an information/registration pack.
Run a half marathon to live or recorded music starting from the O2 in London. This year’s dates and bands still to be announced.
A Lighter Challenge, September 2011
The Adidas Women’s 5K Fun Run Challenge in London’s Hyde Park is just for the girls. Date still to be announced.

The London Triathlon – 30 July
If you’re a first timer, enthusiast, elite or even a team of 3, here’s your chance to take part in the World’s largest and most iconic triathlon. Distances start from as little as a 400m swim, 10km bike and 2.5km run...and there won’t be a car in sight!
Take the plunge - Great Swims - 2011
Take part in one of the televised open water one-mile swims across the UK in lakes, lochs and docks. No walls, no lanes, no chlorine just the great outdoors. Get in touch for list of events in 2011.
Kayak up to six hours a day along the beautiful rugged coastline of Norway.
The CVI sadly isn’t even able to get on the waiting list for charity marathon places. You can still take pot luck and enter through the ballot system if you wish to run for us. We could make it possible for you to take part in the New York, Berlin, Paris, Chicago, Tokyo, Boston Marathons.
Pure Filth – Off Road Running- 2011
A series of mad, muddy 10 mile trail runs throughout the UK will find you wading through water and clambering through mud, sand and bogs. Other more gentle trail runs are available for all ages. 2011 dates to be announced

This one is not for the faint hearted - cycling 237 miles on road over three days passing through the UK, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

These are just some of the trips that the CVI is delighted to offer throughout the year.

Whether you are an individual, group, organisation or a company there are countless ways that you could raise funds for us – you are only limited by your imagination. If you are daunted by the idea of it - don’t worry! It doesn’t matter what you do, you can be assured that your efforts really will make a difference to the lives of patients and their loved ones coping with cancer.
